The treasure is an ambiguous concept. Some people imagine valuables under him, others friends. The latest painting cycle Markéta Bábková (*1993) combines both because it puts a gentle visual emphasis on things, but consistently in connection with man. Its lack of sensitive paintings on the edge between reality and abstraction is equally possible to call jewelry boxes. The appearance of the boxes that hide various personal belongings suggest the same format of paintings, the size of which still increases the topic.
The object still life emerging from the chaos of non -presence is a kind of disguised biographies anchored in secret private archeology. Although jewelry also appears in compositions, they are more often small objects - amulets, talismans or personal relics for protection or happiness, whose other power is primarily the ability to re -arouse obscured/or even return time. In this case, it does not matter what they look like, but what they represent, namely materialized memories For people, places, situations and lost moments.
Markéta Bábková does not forget the fact that many of them have come to people as a gift. And that is why these emotions are accompanied by a number of intimate canvases in the motif of the hands, where the gesture of giving or receiving, but the most important is the touch itself. It is at him that the sacrum objects travel from man to man.
