Giclée print
Giclée [Žiclé] is the best quality available technology for printing works of art. The name originated in France at the age of 90 and is based on the verb Gicler - spray, blast. Special print heads work, which apply microscopic drops of pigment ink in layers on archive paper with a fine structure.
The result is an extremely detailed and color -faithful reproduction that captures not only the colors and strokes of the brush, but also the mood of the original work. Today, Giclée is a standard in galleries, museums and collections around the world. When properly handled, it will last tens of years - without fading, without loss of intensity.
Only archive paper with high weight and high UV stability inks is used. Giclée prints are among the technically and financially demanding ways of printing graphic works. It requires not only specialized equipment and materials of the highest quality, but also experience and precise handwork. This is one of the reasons why it is mainly used for limited editions, museum prints or demanding collectors - where the aim is to maximize the original loyalty and a long life.

Digitization of an original work
Reproductive photography is created in our specially equipped studio with top technology from cameras, optics, digital wall and special lighting system. Photos are created by the sequential method (each image is photographed on multiple images, which we then fold together to prevent any image deformation). Thanks to our system, we can reproduce even the finest tone, colorful and drawing nuances from extremely large original works.
In 100pcs, we print the twelve -color printing system Lucia ex pigments treated against UV radiation by ensuring color stability for 100 years.
For the best possible result we print on a special 100% cotton paper Hahnemühle Photo RAG 308G.

Framing
In our own framework in Tábor, we frame each print separately after the order. We use Larson-Juhl wooden rails from Český Krumlov.

Plexiglass
We frame prints with UV plexiglass with 70% UV protection (which further extends the life and color stability of prints). We do not use glass for transport and do not use anti -reflective treatment due to the loss of color quality of the printing itself.
On the back is a 3mm MDF board and everything is sealed with a tape for extra dust protection.

Finalization and packaging
Depending on the size of the printing, the hinge is either a hinge in the middle or two curtains on the sides.
Finally, add protective corners, part leaflet, limited edition certificate and put two boxes with a deformation zone for extra protection for transport (without a single piece of plastic).
In the case of selling printing without frame, we insert print into a black tube, which is further stored in a special transport box for prints.
