The Uncertain Future exhibition aims to link two different but complementary approaches to the question of the future. Patrik Krišák through painting and Johan Pertl through the glass building open up visual dialogue about civilization, nature and time.
The title of the exhibition deliberately contrasts with the fine and stylized form of Kiššák's paintings. His work thematizes the ecological concerns of the present, but instead of warning, it offers a different perspective - hope. He has long been involved in the motif of underwater nature, especially coral structures, which he understands as a symbol of interconnection, restoration and life. Its paintings depict fictitious landscapes and shapes reminiscent of the atlas of shells and organisms set outside a specific time - perhaps from the future, perhaps from ancient times. The inspiration of the sea and its life becomes a means of visual thinking about a world in which climate change does not only mean extinction, but also the possibility of transformation.
