The burning of the ego smells surprisingly pleasant. At least that is the painter Petr Hajdyla, when in his latest work he captures the special moment of life between youth and maturity. His canvases are a testimony of the time when the race ends and the way to authentic being begins, when the ambition turns into acceptance and the desire for evidence retreats to the simple experience of the present.
In the central episode of the exhibition 'The beautiful scent of a burning ego"It captures an ancient cultural symbol of a man by the fire at a radically personal existential level - as a cleansing ego combustion process. The naked male figure exhibits its most vulnerable place in the gesture of absolute surrender.
