Denisa Krausová (*1981) graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Brno, where she studied under prominent figures of the 80s and 90s generation: the printmaking studio of Margita Titlová-Ylovsky, the environmental art studio of Vladimír Merta, the sculpture studio of Michal Gabriel, and completed her final painting phase in the studio of Martin Mainer. She broadened her studies with international internships in Italy and Romania, which heralded a certain detachment from the local art scene that she maintains to this day. The artist lives and works in Mikulov, Moravia. She has been nominated for the Critics' Award for Young Painting and the NG 333 Award presented by the National Gallery Prague. Her work has been featured in both group and solo exhibitions, such as at Gallery OFF/FORMAT in Brno, the Regional Gallery of Highlands in Jihlava, and the Václav Špála Gallery in Prague (2018). Her works are part of numerous collections, such as the Marek Collection.
