Ewa Goral

Born in Tychy, 1984. She has numerous group and solo exhibitions in Poland and abroad to her credit, including: BWA Krosno, BWA Sanok, BWA Bielsko-Biała, Dzielna Foundation, Artinfo Gallery, Unit24 London, Hotel Elephant Gallery London, Espacio Gallery London, SEZ Berlin. She is a laureate of competitions: Triennial of Young Art in Orońsko, Autumn Art Salon BWA Ostrowiec, Zealous X London.

The artist seeks inspiration in the works of ethnobotanists, biologists, and cultural anthropologists, for whom nature is an integral subject, not merely a background for humans. She shows how it is beautiful and fragile, yet at the same time powerful and sometimes dangerous. In her paintings, this duality can be discerned in the details. Ewa Goral's works are a blending of microcosm and macrocosm, organic forms that defy botanical classification. Plant motifs, observed in the field or under a microscope and filtered through imagination, transport us in her paintings to another universe. In the context of contemporary challenges such as climate change and environmental degradation, the artist seeks through her work to provoke reflection on the relationship between humans and nature.
