Alena Anderlová is a prominent representative of contemporary Czech figurative painting. In her work, she explores the relationship between humanity, nature, and technological civilization. The painting "Cara a kára" was presented in 2025 at the group exhibition "Mute Face" at the Regional Gallery of Fine Arts in Zlín.

Alena Anderlová

Alena Anderlová (*1977, Klatovy) vystudovala Střední uměleckoprůmyslovou školu v Praze a Vyšší odbornou školu Václava Hollara, obor knižní grafika. V letech 1999–2005 studovala malbu na Akademii výtvarných umění v Praze v ateliérech Antonína
Střížka a Michaela Rittsteina. Absolvovala rezidenční a stipendijní pobyty v
Schafhofu – Europäisches Künstlerhaus Oberbayern (2006), Egon Schiele Art Centru v Českém Krumlově (2007 a 2019) a Oberpfälzer Künstlerhausu ve Schwandorfu (2009). Samostatně vystavovala mimo jiné v Egon Schiele Art Centru, Galerii Václava Špály, Galerii Klatovy/Klenová, Galerii města Plzně a IN Gallery. Její práce byly představeny také na kolektivních výstavách v Národní galerii Praha, DOXu, Mánesu, Czech Center New York nebo Českém centru v Paříži.

In their work, they have long focused on the relationship between humans, nature, and contemporary technological civilization. This theme is also significantly reflected in the painting Cara a kára, which was presented last year at the group exhibition Mute Faceat the Regional Gallery of Fine Arts in Zlín. The exhibition focused on the motif of the dog and its changing place in contemporary society.
