Alena Anderlová is one of the prominent representatives of contemporary Czech figurative painting. The painting Frog was presented in 2025 at the international group exhibition Über Tiere at Atelierhaus in Bremen, which focused on the diverse forms and meanings of animal motifs in contemporary art.

Alena Anderlová

Alena Anderlová (*1977, Klatovy) vystudovala Střední uměleckoprůmyslovou školu v Praze a Vyšší odbornou školu Václava Hollara, obor knižní grafika. V letech 1999–2005 studovala malbu na Akademii výtvarných umění v Praze v ateliérech Antonína
Střížka a Michaela Rittsteina. Absolvovala rezidenční a stipendijní pobyty v
Schafhofu – Europäisches Künstlerhaus Oberbayern (2006), Egon Schiele Art Centru v Českém Krumlově (2007 a 2019) a Oberpfälzer Künstlerhausu ve Schwandorfu (2009). Samostatně vystavovala mimo jiné v Egon Schiele Art Centru, Galerii Václava Špály, Galerii Klatovy/Klenová, Galerii města Plzně a IN Gallery. Její práce byly představeny také na kolektivních výstavách v Národní galerii Praha, DOXu, Mánesu, Czech Center New York nebo Českém centru v Paříži.
