Jakub Sýkora (b. Work: YYYXYYYXYXYYYXYYXX, 2022, Acrylic on canvas, 70 × 55 cm

Jakub Sykora examines his painting interface of image and graphic visuality, including the one linked to the computer science and the language of new media. His works often work with the structural arrangement of the image area, in which repetition and variations of selected characters are used. The images then act as a kind of coded messages. As programmed compositions, in which, however, an important error as a manifestation of human presence appears. Already the image name 22022 YYYXYYYXYXYYXYYYXX refers to an coded score, which is ironized as a method as a method. Sýkora's pictorial expression is as an anti-acid-skeleton, as it shows a sense of poetics of painting relationships. Although their anchoring faces technically, it is just the author's strategy and a poetic license used to steal the mechanical language of programming and design for painting and image.

Jakub Sýkora for 100pcs

I observe the world around me and I am interested in seemingly irrelevant details or mistakes. I observe the arrangement and order of nature. I do not paint my findings from these observations realistically, I want to assemble them from a new pictorial language and describe the original essence. I believe that if I am attentive enough, I can paint an infinite number of paintings from one moment and I will still have inspiration.
