An impressive, realistic expression based, firmly gripped by Jan Gemrot's paintings, one of the main representatives of contemporary Central European painting, asks supporting questions about today's world. They connect personal visions of the origin and demise of human culture, the beginning and end of nature, ancient art and the latest techniques. The originally rendered cosmological process involves the fate of contemporary man as a fragile and passing individual, which is incorporated in an environment that is familiar to him and stolen at the same time. The perfect technical design of the supporting, long -term topics of the author, interferes with the viewer by becoming part of the image as if it merged with the depicted person. Jan Gemrot looks on planet Earth from the distance of many space years, and penetrates under the surface of the faces shown to reveal their hidden desires and impossible wishes.

Jan Gemrot for 100pcs
The lone astronaut in the universe floats near the huge fragment of an ancient statue. The archaeologist of the future meets the past, torn from the original historical context. Somewhere below the surface of this strange, apocalyptic vision, our present may take place.
