Lubomír Typlt (1975) is one of the leading authors of the generation born in the mid -70s (next to J. Bolf, D. Pitín, V. Holcová, J. Špaňhel or Z. Sedlecký). In his painting work, he presents the outlines of a generational feeling that views as a cyclically returning epic, in which the experience of totalitarianism and no less problematic recovery of social freedom is added. Narrative procedures are inserted by the author into a radical re -evaluation of painting means of expression in relation to the figuration. It gradually dismantles and spreads the uniform construct of time and space to release the distinctive space of the painting to an otherwise set, denser and uncompromising testimony based on dynamic composition and sophisticated color inversity. It develops its peculiar painting expression on the basis of direct experience with the tradition of Czech and German figurative paintings (studios with J. Šalamoun, J. Načeradský. M. Lüpertz, A. R. Pencek).

About the work of Madono with a child
The image is updated in a provocative way by the traditional Christian iconographic scheme in terms of present. Madonna as a symbol of caring mother and motherhood is undergoing painting and content revisions. It is an expressive distressing composition (the opposite of traditionally calming the Madonna), in which the author emphasizes the dynamic and pathetic "uncertainty of the seen". We have a familiar theme where something is fundamentally disconnected and does not fit meaning. The image is the color of the bodies as if in a schizophrenic way horizontally divided into two planes, the lower red, upper magenta (key for Typlet!). Both characters face a side wind that is reflected in the deformation of hairstyles. The gesture of the mother and the child is complicated. Mother lacks a face. This is covered by hair, a distinctive attribute of femininity, which can involuntarily refer to the biblical figure of Maří Magdalena, associated with temptation and sin. Also, the child's attribute does not fit. It reminds more of a curious adolescent than a symbol of innocence. The mother's gesture is much wider, as if referring to the absence of an adult, or bypasses of a partner that is not lacking. He irritates the ambiguity of the well -known scene with a subliminal reference to the break -up of the family and the loneliness of the characters in the level of an excessive ego. Especially when the author asks about this work, "Is this still love?"
