About the work

Milan Cais for 100ks

Drawing with calligraphy ink (watercolor or acrylic on paper) has long been a perfect and quick way for me to express a fleeting feeling or emotion. It is like an abstract record of inner thought. They are mostly created in series, and water plays an important role in the process, shaping the final form along with me. I usually have a theme, a vision, and an idea of the form, but the final result is often, to a large extent, a matter of chance.

Spectrum of Understanding Iis about communication and ambiguity of interpretation. The spectral colors suggest the breadth and complexity of understanding often very simple messages. Color overlays suggest the divergence of possible explanations.
