The pair of contemporary artists Ondřej Konupčík (* 1984) and Radim Kašpárek (* 1990) became famous for the complex technology of the transfer of acrylic paints from the water surface to the canvas. Ondřej Konupčík is known primarily for his original tattoos, which is followed by clients from all over the world. Radim Kašpárek is an artist who searches for non -traditional possibilities of expressing through new art technologies. The complex technique of painting acrylic from the water surface is its invention. He developed it for four years, and in the first Lockdown, when Ondřej Konupčík could not devote himself to tattoos, they were drawn together. For a specific visual of organically-alphabetic shapes reminiscent of water flow or fluttering fabric, the duo is popular not only among collectors, but also among designers. Last time they joined forces, for example, with a festor, a Czech producer of top carbon frames for road bikes. One of the specimens was then auctioned for 600,000 crowns at the Kodl Gallery auction.

Ondrash & Kasparek for 100pcs

We have developed a unique way of painting on the water surface for more than 7 years. The basis is a process similar to traditional methods such as Japanese Suminagashi or Turkish ebra, in which colors are applied to the water level. Unlike these techniques, however, we use our own way of transmission of image to the medium, which gives the resulting parts a unique characteristic.

With a gentle breath we then blow the colors on the surface and create hypnotic transitions and organic patterns. This process brings an element of chance to the work and at the same time allows each image to live its own abstract composition. The result is works with variable content that adapts to the viewer with their own imagination and offer every unique look.
