Ondřej Vyhnánek aka X-Dog (1983) for 100pcs

Ondřej Vyhnánek went under the name X-Dog home graffiti scene, so that he then reached his original style not only in the field of painting, but also ceramic sculptures and mosaics. Today he has had a number of independent and group exhibitions throughout the Czech Republic, but he also left his tracks in Paris or Rio de Janeiro. In his street and studio work, he was initially influenced mainly by the world of comics, superheroes, pop-art and naive art. Thematically he dealt with the future of humanity and the essence of human existence, death and what comes after life. The works contained warning visions in the form of sci-fi cities, over-exported animals or plants, mutating society and nature. Although he had never left these topics, he has moved them to the worlds more Freudian and inner world in recent years. Real and mythological animals and plants remain, like the problems of individuals and civilization and strong themes of life and death. Likewise, a certain dose of irony, sarcasm and exaggeration.

Ondřej Vyhnánek for 100pcs

The work "In Peace with My Own Downs" belongs to a wider series of black and white images that, with its purity drawing, when the author uses only black more or less colored lines on white canvas, initially distracts from their deeper message and content. It is also a necessary humor that will initially employ the viewer. In this particular image, they communicate perfectly with a picture and text that will gradually bring a person into the reality of contemporary digital technologies of the overwhelmed world, in which they are completely lost in the flood of fakenews and messages where it is unable to distinguish the truth from the lie. At the same time, however, he fights his private demons, inner whispers, who help to decompose his already fragile and uncertain mental balance. Not only societal problems and the author's personal inner ideas are reflected in the image. In addition, each of us can identify with the central figure of the work. The works of the black and white cycle, which include, in addition to paintings, sculptures and large -scale paintings in a number of places in the Czech Republic, again link sarcasm and deep existential themes, and as typical of the author, deliberately balancing on the edge of high -quality art and embarrassment.
