A Woman's Face

Patrik Hábl is one of the few living Czech painters whose canvases are sold by both Sotheby's and Christie's. Her feminine face emerges from layers of color, only to disappear back into them. An explorer, an inspirer, a femme fatale.

About the work

Patrik Hábl for 100 pcs

The cycle of female faces was created over several years and represents, over time, a process in which a single coherent image is gradually formed, composed of individual image pixels.

A sort of monumental mosaic, a grid, or a network, where individual faces form one of the tiles of a larger whole.

It involves both well-known and unknown female faces from the present as well as past eras. Women who were not only pioneers and explorers, but also muses who often stood alongside great men. Women who were active and a great inspiration to the art world.

Personalities from art also appear here, such as Suzanne Valadon, Hilma af Klint, Mary Cassatt, Georgia O'Keeffe, or Alma Mahler, and many others.

Women who actively transformed the approach to art with their artistic footprint, or femme fatale women who influenced entire generations of men. Faces are the mystery of our lives – our own change over time, while others we keep in our minds.
