Profile

About the work

Stanislav Diviš for 100 pcs

"The painting is from the Scores series. These paintings are based on diary entries and walks by Leoš Janáček, which I once received from the museum from Mr. Zahrádka. Based on these sketches, I then created an entire series of paintings, which was called Landscapes of Passion.

The selected painting is a kind of floor plan of one of these scores, or rather the notes, which were fragmentary—they were not specific scores for a finished work, but rather records and sketches that Janáček created during his walks. And because he was passionately in love in his adult years, I named the entire cycle Landscapes of Passion."
