Dalibor David (1972), a graduate of Jiří Sopko's painting studio, is one of the distinct colorists of contemporary Czech painting. In the artist’s paintings, objects and figures lose their objective forms and become a playful and ironic celebration of time passed. The exhibition Celebrations of the Day is a contemplative reflection on the status of human presence, which appears here to be, in its essence, close to memory, dreams, and dreaming.
