Jakub Hubálek / Reviver

It is a palindrome, which reads the same forwards and backwards, and this very linguistic symmetry may be the fundamental conceptual framework for grasping the current exhibition concept by Jakub Hubálek. Reviver as one who brings life back, who restores, who reactivates forgotten layers of memory, images, and emotions. However, Hubálek’s reviver also represents a principle, a process, a rhythm that in some way resembles the cycle of nature, where the end is simultaneously the beginning of the next cycle.
