The new exhibition of one of the founders of the platform 15 painter Jakub Hubálek (1983) was named after the painting, from which it depends freely. Not only does he encounter his double position of the artist and gallery, but he also touches his "torn" visual thinking, which has long been oscillate between painting and drawing, color and black and white expression, as well as figural modeling and space of abstraction. The result of his work is a series of layered images based on the principle of painted collage, where these influences clash and create a specific meaning -based world full of hints, which reflects the fragments of his personal life, but is based on objective parameters of today's turbulent era. Duplication - a kind of visual déjà vu - as one of the determining elements of his optical game on the one hand, still makes perception and dynamizes the composition, the other encounters the fact that we all live, all "de fucko" experience one and the same.
Jakub Hubálek is one of the distinctive painting solitaires of the younger art generation. He entered the Czech art scene in 2010, when he diploma at the Prague Academy of Fine Arts in the Studio of Drawing (Prof. Jitka Svobodová). The relationship to this medium is also essential for its authorial concept of image, and it is in this relationship that all the essential specifics that make its painting expression exceptional and recognizable.
