Erik is one of the most prominent personalities of contemporary Slovak painting, and has been holding this position sovereignly since his studies at VŠVA, when he attracted the fresh, pop culturally tempting painting language and colorful, seemingly carefree paintings. But his themes are often very dark, personal and often social-critical, which deliberately contrast with their appearance.
Erik Šille has had dozens of solo and group exhibitions in Slovak Republics and abroad, is a laureate of artistic prices (eg the Tatra Bank Foundation, painting - VIB Prize), represented in private and public collections.
