Jiří Marek

Jiří Marek (born 1991), graduated in 2011 - 2017 AVU in Prague (studio of drawing, school Jiří Petrbok; atelier of painting I, School of Prof. Jiří Sopka.)

Jiří Marek is one of the promising authors of the incoming painting generation born in the early 90s. His painting poetics is an introspective, subliminal deep and melancholic. It presents a widespread ground plan of interpersonal relations as a kind of "hallucination", as a "fragmented world" that must be patiently composed, defragmented, re -revive and cleaned. Similarly, it perceives the cultural legacy of the past, which must be transformed into a new feeling of present.
