Jan Pištěk

Jan Pištěk (*1961) patří k nejvýraznějším osobnostem české malby, na scéně aktivní od poloviny 80. let. Vystudoval AVU v Praze (1980–1986) a v roce 1990 se stal odborným asistentem v ateliéru prof. Bedřicha Dlouhého; počátkem 90. let jeho směřování ovlivnily stipendijní pobyty v New Yorku.

Samostatně vystavoval mj. ve Veletržním paláci – Pod povrchem (Národní galerie Praha, 2013), v Galerii Václava Špály – K okraji viditelného (2017), v ostravské Galerii Magna – Z jiného světa (2021) či ve Ville Pellé – Dva světy (2022). V létě 2025 probíhá na Pražském hradě jeho rozsáhlá retrospektiva Skryté příběhy v Královském letohrádku.

Díla Jana Pištěka jsou zastoupena v řadě veřejných a soukromých sbírek: Národní galerie v Praze, Galerie hlavního města Prahy, Alšova jihočeská galerie, Kunsthalle Praha, Sbírka statutárního města Ostrava, Zámecká sbírka města Mikulov, Sbírka Karla Babíčka či COLLETT Prague | Munich.

Vedle malby se věnoval i filmové a divadelní výpravě; se svým otcem Theodorem Pištěkem spolupracoval na rozsáhlých projektech americké produkce natáčených v České republice a výpravných českých muzikálech.

Because the sign is only twelve, and I didn't want to repeat, I thought of collectors and friends to combine two signs together. I chose the one close to me - my granddaughter and my granddaughter. Prints in stock ship unframed within 2 business days and framed within 3 business days. Prints signed to order ship in about 2 weeks. Framed prints travel in protective packaging, unframed prints in a sturdy tube and an extra box. Shipping is calculated at checkout by country.
