Kristína Mésároš (*1981) is a Slovak painter who lives and creates in Scharndorf, Austria. Its work is based on a deep connection of personal experience and art language. The key motifs are the transformations of landscape, memories, intimate moments and existential experiences that testify to time, identity and perception of reality.
She studied at the University of Fine Arts in Bratislava in the studio of prof. Vojtecha Kolenčík, where she later completed his doctoral studies. As part of her studies she received a scholarship at the Lasalle College of Arts in Singapore. She received a number of awards for her work - for example the Martin Benka Award for 2023 - and was the finalist of the Malba Year and Strabag Artward International.
Its paintings are referred to as part of magical realism or neo -romanticism. It creates narrative images in which the figurine, symbols and landscape intertwine into an atmosphere that is also close and mysterious. He works with acrylic paints, pastels and oil, combines transparent layers and sophisticated work with light and color, evoking a feeling of dreams or memories.
She presented her works in a number of places in Europe independently and as part of group exhibitions. Significant projects include the exhibition Origin / Počiatok in Danubiana Meulenstenateen Art Museum in Bratislava or Green Blood in the Crears Gallery in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm. In 2025, it presents its current work at the exhibition in the Municipal Gallery in Nachod and at the end of 2025, from which the edition for 100 pcs, exhibited at the Prodigy exhibition in the Villa Pellé Gallery in Prague, curated by Petr Vaňous (27. 11. 2025 - 11. 2026).
