Pavel Šmíd

Pavel Šmíd (nar. 1964, absolvoval v l. 1990-1997 AVU v Praze (ateliér prof. J. Sopko). 

Pavel Šmíd se kromě AVU vzdělával i ve velké Británii a spoluzakládal legendární ostravskou uměleckou skupinu Přirození. Přes 30 let vystavuje ve stěžejních českých galeriích a jeho díla jsou zastoupena ve sbírkách Národní galerie Praha a soukromých sbírkách v Čechách i v zahraničí.

About the work

Pavel Šmíd for 100pcs

I deal with a lot of past, and as I needed to see the time process on the painting, I tried to approach the painting mass and the painting gesture otherwise. I started using a lot of structure, layers. Something that would allow the viewer to feel time in the picture and to feel the presence of a painter who left the gesture a moment ago.

This image is not from the cycle you do not enter the same river. I had an exhibition in Poděbrady and for the spa town I made a cycle of figures that move in the water. The water allowed me to enter the time thinking again - the water is a stream, wash, soothes, it is a light that can be layered in color. It can be drowned and finding time.

Prints in stock ship unframed within 2 business days and framed within 3 business days. Prints signed to order ship in about 2 weeks. Framed prints travel in protective packaging, unframed prints in a sturdy tube and an extra box. Shipping is calculated at checkout by country.
