Petr Kvíčala (*1960) vystudoval Střední školu uměleckých řemesel v Brně, následné studium na pražské Akademii výtvarných umění mu však bylo režimem z ideových důvodů znemožněno. Pedagogicky působil na Fakultě výtvarných umění v Brně, kde dlouhodobě vedl Ateliér malířství 3 a nyní je profesorem Kabinetu tradičních médií a členem oborové a umělecké rady. Svou práci představil v předních českých uměleckých institucích a galeriích, a hojně také v zahraničí - například na Mallorce, v Mnichově, Berlíně, Budapešti nebo Poitiers. Je držitelem Čestné Ceny Jindřicha Chalupeckého z roku 1991. Za jednu ze svých architektonické intervencí získal v roce 2006 cenu Grand Prix. Jeho práce jsou zastoupeny ve veřejných i soukromých sbírkách.

Petr Kvíčala for 100 pcs

The work selected for 100ks is the embodiment of Kvíčala’s fundamental principles—ornamental composition in basic, pure colors on a white background. An apparent banality, yet one that points to what has been innate to humanity (and nature) since time immemorial. Here, the ornament is the only clearly visible surface, a grid or veil behind which innerness, depth, and spirituality are hidden. In the composition of the image, there is order, celebration, joy, and in the author’s words, "spring-like vitality"—a vision of renewal, new possibilities, and cycles that we so greatly need in difficult times.

Prints in stock ship unframed within 2 business days and framed within 3 business days. Prints signed to order ship in about 2 weeks. Framed prints travel in protective packaging, unframed prints in a sturdy tube and an extra box. Shipping is calculated at checkout by country.
