Cheap dopamine as a reflection of the modern era
One of the symptoms of today's overstimulated society is so-called "cheap dopamine" – an immediate reward that provides short-term satisfaction and leads to addiction. Cheap dopamine is currently provided by social media and technology, among other things. Information layers and consumes us much like the paintings of Tomáš Tichý, in which fragments of reality intermingle with abstract forms. The result is works that blur the line between reality and its digital manifestation.
