Veronika Holcová holds a specific position within the contemporary Czech art scene – she does not succumb to fleeting visual trends, nor does she let herself be constrained by contemporary discourse or the tendencies currently pulsing through society. Instead, she confidently builds her own imaginative universe, a multi-layered landscape of the subconscious. She follows a solitary path, her visual expression oscillating between categories and sabotaging our natural need to clearly name things.
