Marek Jarotta appears to be a subtle and calm personality, a patient observer and an almost meditative painter. In the past, monochrome, today and in reduced colors, worked, but what he is still interested in is the specific visuality of anonymous transit sites (waiting rooms, halls, escalators). However, impersonal, universally known and therefore predictable spaces in a clear perspective depiction are mostly disturbing in Jarott's paintings.
Marek Jarotta exhibited as part of solo and group exhibitions in Slovak Republics and abroad, is represented in private and public collections.
