Places that Marta Gruber choose for their paintings in nature are associated with immediate personal experiences. Repeated visits deepen the relationship to the locality, which becomes "known" and "inhabited". It is gradually viewed "under her surface". However, it is not a “tourist” cognition of the homeland, but much more about experiencing and complex feeling of certain places and situations, their constellations hides something very essential, what seems to be constitutional for the ways of painting self-reflection. The author often feels into the atmosphere of natural nooks with all its momentary dispositions (light, colored, climatic, moisture).
