Matus Maťátko (*1984) is a Slovak artist who focuses on large -format graphics, illustration, sculpture and painting. He studied at the University of Fine Arts in Bratislava in the studio of free graphics and illustrations under the leadership of prof. Dušan Kállay. In 2010 he completed his / her internship at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague near MgA. Juraj Horvath. 
In 2012 he presented himself at four exhibitions in Japan. In 2016 he completed an art internship at Bali as part of the Slowpunch project. He realized large -scale paintings in the public space, for example in the 4D Gallery in the Galanta, Mariánská Street in Bratislava, in the foyer of Nové Cvernovka (the work “The Jain of Flaš is released…”) and Mural “Morus” on Jakub Square in Bratislava. At the Pohoda festival and the action of the statue and the building presented the monumental sculpture "for the evening of glory". His last solo project “Biela-blue-red epic” was exhibited in the Lipt Gallery P. M. Bohúň. 
For his author's books “Dreams of Húsenice Rúrka” (2005) and “Evolúcia” (2007) he gained honorable mention in the competition The most beautiful book of Slovakia. Actively forms and exhibits in Slovakia and abroad since 2007. 
His work is characterized by distinctive color and symbolism, often reflects social themes and combines traditional motifs with modern expression.
