The author of the author
“Synthetic Sunrise” (Synthetic Sunrise), oil and acrylic on canvas. The image is part of my latest project "Mechanical Electrical Instinct", which consists of several dozen paintings of different dimensions connected to the growing structure. The name of the whole project refers to the collection of poems "Night-Day: Mechanical Electrical Instinct" by Tytus Czyżewski, one of the most important Polish avant-garde artists, painter, poet and criticism of art. The paintings refer to the texts of Czyżewski, European futuristic poetry, motifs from the work of avant -garde artists and the essay "Manifest Cyborg" by Donna Haraway.
The main character of the picture is a naked woman in conjunction with the machine fragment, which dreams of the same power as the largest current technology. With an effort to overcome the concerns about the upcoming future, I create the configuration of corporeality and modern technologies that are increasingly affecting our lives. Using the traditional painting media, I present the contemporary world where the boundaries between virtual and real are blurry. Using painting techniques, I process non -metabolized fears associated with the evolution of human creations.
