The dominant medium of young author Marcela Putnová is the picture. This is in relation to the concrete theme or the exhibition secondary to the object, in which the author appreciates her drawing and painting feeling. The topic is rather intuitively sought, revealed in conscious and subliminal associations, so it is rather a process of stabbing something stirring, it is a turbulent transformation state that is caught, stopped and fixed into chosen forms in which the hypothetical imagery with the rare knowledge, fictitious time with authentic elements collapsed or kaleidoscopic composition. Putn's overall expressive painting expression is balanced by the description of the details and evocation of the properties and materiality of things.

Marcela Putnová (1997) graduated in 2017-2023 by the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (Studio of Drawing, School of Jiří Petrbok) on the theme of mirroring. In 2019, she went through the Academy of Sciences of the Academy of Sciences in the Studio of the visiting Professor, who was then the famous Polish figural painter Paulin Ołowska. In 2021 and 2023 she received a studio prize for her student work. He has been exhibiting regularly since 2020. We have been able to meet her works on collective projects such as Shower After Murder (2021, Critics Gallery, Prague), Symposium Jenewein (2023, F. Jenewein's Gallery of Kutná Hora), hunting realism II (2023, The Chemistry Gallery (2024, The Chemistry Gallery - Portheimka, Prague), Contemporary Art Festival (2024, Prostějov) or Transfiguration (2024, Gallery for Ages, Prague).

Marcela Putnová for 100pcs

Image Tension space (2021) is an introspectively tuned personal memory that consists of various memory characters (link to family photographs, straw figures, roses, monkey face, jeans, boots with a high hew). The central motive is the author's alter ego, which is built in the duvets (dreams) on his head. The cramming corner of the image space evokes internal anxiety. Everything is from the point of view of the figure upside down. The theme seems to reflect the complex process of adolescence. However, overflowing liberation is critically checked from family customs, stereotypes and conventions by the motif of a monkey, which represents a steady symbol of mechanical, mindless imitation. Everything seemed to be repeated generation. As if we were predetermined and cyclically imprisoned in our pre-given roles (Children-Rodic-Delies, etc.), who are escaping for a while, but which will eventually catch up.
