About the author

Petr Hajdyla (b. Hajdyla offers us its world of lucid dreams. In the painting, it combines partly real painting with a slightly abstaining plane. Using mild surrealism, fauvism and, above all, exceptional author's colors, it creates a situation that would not be staging in real life. Hajdyl's painting and manuscript, which is unique and exceptional on the current scene, impresses the attention of Czech and foreign galleries and collectors. Watch him on Instagram

About the work

The image of the blue rider is a typical example of the latest development of Hajdy's work. He plays with timelessness, space and intense color. Magic realism from the literary and film location unknowingly transfers to painting. The image arises as an organic record of symbols and phenomena, the hajdyla catches and let go of the rudder, leaving space to sudden changes. The strong influence of the European painting of the period of the turn of the century up to the 40s, on which Hajyla grew up, left a apparent clue in his manuscript. The courageous German expressionism and playful Matisse mixes with a brilliant maneuver's abbreviation. The result is an intense painting spectacle like a blue rider.
