Michal Cimala for 100pcs

Sculptural and painting work Michal Cimaly It moves in a subset of living contradictions between the intoxication of the technical and technological possibilities of the present, scifi visions, utopias and permanently present anxiety from a collapse that ticks in an accelerated, consumer, power and reckless lifestyle. The interface of the over -performance and fall, paradise and apocalypse is the place that most resonates with formal experiments seeking sculptor, manic cartoonist, creator of distance, non -grief images, designer of futuristic musical instruments and critical lyricist. Work White spots in cache From 2024, it belongs to a wider set of network images that thematize different, visible and obscured "interconnections" and "dependence" taking place between an individual and society. Michal Cimala uses recycled plastic material to create paintings that has taken from medical practice. It removes this aid-device-intention from its usefulness and flips it-as a ready made-into the form of a freely used elastic template through which a convincing, dynamically modeled abstract expression showing ambiguous messages. The work can resemble as well as micro -nerve tissues as views of distant space macroconnects. Similarly, it can be a metaphor of social networks and online presence. The outer and inner world merges into one accelerated, intoxicating and all overwhelming time.
