The photo was made in cooperation with the project Arches On the occasion of publishing a book Cottages: Architecture behind the gate of everyday life.
The photo could be included in the author's series in between, where it captures famous buildings around the world, but in an unusual way compared to the usual rendition of architecture. The buildings act as if they were blurred or shaken, which eliminates fine details, but still retain their characteristic shapes and lines that make them easy to recognize.
Bohumil Hrabal bought a cottage in Kersk in 1965 for his first literary fee. The original “weekend house” was built in 1940. The author of the project was Ing. Bóža Dvořák. Bohumil Hrabal in Kersku alternately stayed for over 30 years until the end of 1996.
